DESCRIPTION:Member, Barbara Talman, has invited us to visit her property on the New River, Saturday, April 22 from 9am – 11:30am.\nMeet at the Methodist Church in Creston:\n\nCreston United Methodist Church: 157 Worth Chapel Rd, Creston, NC 28615    https://goo.gl/maps/6WpMMurLW65JUCKu5\n\n \nWe’ll shuttle from the church to Barbara’s property.  We will need a few drivers with 4WD and a higher clearance for the shuttle to the property.  It’s not a rough road, but we’ll be parking in grass. My Subaru Forester did the job very well, as an example.\nThere are two options:\n\nWander around the open area and slopes near the vehicles\nHike to the river and back – about 2 miles; steep old road bed\n\nIt may still be muddy, appropriate footwear is recommended.\nIt will be chilly; a jacket is recommended.\n
