DESCRIPTION:\nChris Liloia gardening, by Johnny Randall\nGet some ideas for your yard at this virtual talk on native plant gardening with Chris Liloia, Habitat Gardens Curator at the North Carolina Botanical Garden (NCBG) in Chapel Hill, NC.  The focus will be on native plants that work well together. From sun to shade, spring to fall, and perennials, grasses and even a few shrubs there’s sure to be something for everyone. Even if you don’t garden, tune in for some pretty plant pictures. For those of you not familiar with NCBG, it’s an extraordinary botanical garden because it showcases native plant communities of North Carolina and supports conservation efforts in throughout the state.\nClick this link to register ( https://forms.gle/HC86DeoKo1hydyYZ6 ). We will send a Zoom invitation to all registrants, as well as the Triad Chapter listserv by November 4th. If you register but do not receive an invitation by the morning of November 4th, please contact nancy@ncwildflower.org. All are welcome, though of course we hope you’ll be inspired to join the NCNPS and support efforts to plant more natives and wildlife habitat! We hope to have a physically distanced plant exchange this fall, so stay tuned. When we do return to the library, please feel free to bring a native plant to share or save it for fundraisers at the spring and fall outings, or our annual picnic in June. Funds raised support native plant research mini-grants or scholarships to attend the wonderful Cullowhee Native Plant Conference in July.\n
