Boone Greenway Invasive Plant Removal

Join the Blue Ridge Chapter for an invasive plant removal in Boone! The invasive mile-a-minute vine at the Greenway has been growing all summer. This plant is listed as a noxious weed in NC — we need to get rid of it before it drops it’s berries!! We’re planning a workday for Friday morning, October 2nd at 9 am. MountainTrue will provide some gloves, but better to bring your own, thick gloves and wear long sleeves and boots. The vines have nasty prickles on them. We won’t be using any herbicide, just pulling the vines up – they’re annual, and easy to pull. We’ll meet at the Greenway parking lot on Hunting Hills.
