Experiments in Conservation Gardening with Preston Montague

On Wednesday, October 7th join landscape architect and artist Preston Montague for a presentation exploring gardens as living ecosystems that support biodiversity, ecosystem services, and human well-being while remaining beautiful, functional, and rooted in place.

Through project examples and practical strategies, participants will learn to evaluate gardens through an ecological lens, considering habitat, locally adapted plants and wildlife, soil and water health, and long-term ecological value. Attendees will leave with a practical framework for creating beautiful gardens that support biodiversity.

Meeting will begin at 6:30pm in the meeting room of the Kathleen Clay Edwards Library, 1420 Price Park Dr, Greensboro, NC 27410

All events hosted at the KCE Library are open to the public

Preston Montague is an artist and landscape architect working to strengthen relationships between people and the natural world.
