Little Long Mountain in the Uwharries

We’re venturing out of the Triangle for a botanizing  trip in the Uwharries.  Carol Ann McCormick from the UNC Herbarium will be our guide.  See link below re her trip there in 2020.  Sounds well worth the drive, both for those who will miss the Society’s spring trip to Morrow Mountain and those who want to see another corner of the Uwharries a bit later in spring.

We’ll meet at 10 AM sharp in the Jumping Off Rock parking lot on Flint Hill Rd, greater metropolitan Ophir. (Google Maps lists Troy as the town address.) We’ll hike up the mountain in the morning, stopping to picnic at the top.  And then hike back down, botanizing.
Trip limited to 22 people.  NCNPS members will have priority for registration. https://northcarolinanativeplantsociety.wildapricot.org/event-5246454
